weekend good things.

Happy Monday! H has the day off today so I'm going to make this post short and sweet.
We had a pretty good weekend -- we went out for Greek food on Saturday (the gyros and almond cookies at Olympik Restaurant and Bakery did not disappoint!). I did some yard work (yawn), Vi got to swing on our swingset, it rained (again), and we watched Bloodline. I started also started reading After You -- but then I took a break to re-read The Sleepeasy Solution after Vi had a few rocky nights of sleep. COI mamas tell me your nap secrets!! On Sunday I met up with Shelby for lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant and I ate way too many chips + salsa. Later that day H and I made some adjustments to Vi's crib (we finally had to lower it because she can pull herself up! And we moved her botanical name and flower garlands to another spot in her nursery).

How was your weekend?

  3. Love her head band!

You might want to start giving her more solids. We also put Emerson down at the same time every day/night. it's amazing how a schedule really makes a difference. When we were on vacation it was hard so we just rolled with it

  5. I don't have the heart for cry it out! But you may want to take away one nap if she's fighting it. Worked for us. Two good naps is better than 3 short ones :) Also make sure she's getting full feedings during the day. Parker got into the habit of having a few "snacks" and then she'd be hungry all night. Solid foods don't seem to have any effect on her sleep.

  6. Sounds like a lovely weekend! That's amazing that Vi can pull herself up on the crib already! I think around this time, Cam was fighting naps as well. Do you just do 2 naps? Or 3? I have learned to keep him awake for at least 3 hours before trying to put him down for a nap and filling him up with a bottle or baby food helps him sleep a bit longer.
