friday five.

Happy Fri-yahh! I'm so ready for the weekend and linking up today with April to share five things on my mind:
ONE: OITNB is backkkk! Who's watching this weekend? I want to watch it but I still need finish Mad Men before I start another Netflix show.
TWO: I love flowers but I never buy them for the house because I hate how fast they die. So I was excited to discover some hydrangeas growing in our backyard and brought them inside. They are gorgeous and thankfully they haven't affected h's allergies.
THREE: Last night I made my new favorite Greek Summer Salad. I got the original recipe here and it's a great way of eating a ton of veggies (and FETA).
FOUR: We finished unpacking and arranging our books the other night and it made me realize the majority of our books are h's textbooks! I usually read on my Kindle, so I rarely buy actual books anymore. sad. Insert birthday wish list here.
FIVE: I posted a new energy bite recipe the other day using Nature Valley Toasted Oats Muesli and I found some other recipes I'd love to try. (psst: you can still download a coupon).

Have a great weekend!

  1. I will be watching OITNB--I just hope its better than last season. I was a little disappointed with it.
Jojo Moyes is a wonderful author! I read Me Before You and it is so good! I also read Where'd You Go Bernadette? which was good, but different. Hopefully you get some good reading in soon!

  4. Those flowers are so beautiful! How wonderful that they are growing in your yard!! Love it. I will check out your recipe for those energy bites and your salad. Sadly I'll have to eliminate the feta cheese though because it gives me migraines. :-( Anyways.. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend and that Violet is doing well! :-)

  5. They released Orange early yesterday! We were going to watch it but I was too tired, go figure. Theo makes a summer Greek salad just like that but we've never added chick peas. May have to try that! I love having hydrangeas in the house. If you change their water often they can last for weeks! See you tonight! :)

  21. I've still yet to hop on the "Orange" bandwagon. We finally decided to watch Mad Men so that's been keeping us busy. I definitely miss owning a home and having a yard for fresh-picked flowers. Have a great weekend :)
