cornflake dreams.: weekend good things.

weekend good things.

Good morning...well, I'm still pregnant :) ! I think Vi is going to hang out for a while - good thing she still has a week and a half until her due date. H and I keep talking about how things are going to change (so many good things!) In the meantime we're trying to spend as much quality time together as possible. And based on the photos I took over the weekend: eat everything in sight.
On Friday we took a quick trip to the gym, had Jimmy Johns for dinner (my favorite), and watched a couple of episodes of House of Cards and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (I like to watch comedies before bed!) We ran some errands on Saturday, went to the gym, and I made steak fajitas for dinner (so good!). Later that night we wandered over to Kaminsky's for a sweet treat -- they have the best brownie sundaes! On Sunday I met up with the girls for brunch at Park Cafe and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the cafe decor was beautiful. We shared some Danish popovers and I couldn't resist ordering the avocado toast with bacon on the side. I make avocado toast all the time for lunch, so I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Their avocado toast is made with super thick bread and topped with lemon, red pepper flakes, and sea salt -- it took me to a happy food place. After brunch H and I went to Lowes where I found the perfect white table/garden stool for the nursery. Later we soaked up the sunshine and went on a long walk around our neighborhood (I was pretty excited to wear sandals and a maxi dress in March-- hello, Spring!!)

How was your weekend?

  16. Sounds a bit familiar! We talked all weekend about how this was our last weekend together just the two of us so it was really nice to enjoy it doing all the fun things we like to do. Seems like Maddox is too cozy in there anyways... we may have a few more days together. Praying for a safe and healthy delivery for you if I don't talk with you sooner. I'll be stalking your Insta :)

  17. This weekend looks delicious, and I hope all your posts until Vi arrives start with "Still pregnant!" After falling asleep too many nights watching House of Cards, I insisted we end the evening on a funny note–John's been having terribly nightmares!
