cornflake dreams.: friday five.

friday five.

Happy Friday! yes...still pregnant. Happy 39 weeks (and thanks for all the instagram love)! I'm linking up with Christina, April, Natasha, and Darci, here's five things on my mind:
ONE: I made a batch of lactation cookies the other day using Jane's recipe. They taste great -- but new mama Caitlyn advised I wait until after I have the baby and my milk comes in to eat more cookies. That way I'll reduce the risk of becoming crazy engorged #yikes. Thankfully I froze most of the dough so it'll be easy to avoid the temptation to eat all the cookies.
TWO: Gap has tons of adorable little dresses, rompers, and sandals for baby girls (and bonus everything is 30% off with the code SPRING).
THREE: I've been wanting to incorporate more meatless dinners into our weekly rotation, and I found a few recipes on Pinterest I'd love to try. Do you have any favorite meatless meals --that isn't pasta?
FOUR: Minted is celebrating the arrival of Spring with 15% off sitewide (now until Monday, March 16). The promotion includes baby announcements and art for the nursery or for your bedroom.

FIVE: Downtown Charleston is FINALLY opening up a Chipotle on King Street! I can't wait to get my burrito bowl + guacamole fix :)

Have a great weekend!

  5. My FAVORITE meatless dish is actually a Sweet Potato burger. It is SO yummy with the avocado.

  13. I made a yummy Quinoa, Spinach and Avocado "salad" last night (found on Pinterest) and it was SO yummy! Here's the link: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/185843922098944258/. Even my meat-loving husband approved! :) And yes, now I want Chipotle! Ours was closed the other day for some random reason and I was so bummed; nothing like craving something to find they're not open. Ugh! :)

  15. Happy 39 weeks! Hopefully you don't have to wait too much longer before meeting your little bit. And goodness, all of those meatless meal options you have look amazing! I could eat meals like that every night of the week, sadly my hubby is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so meatless isn't really an option in our house... the most I can get away with is 'just' bacon with pancakes or something like that. I hope you enjoy trying your new meals!

  27. well, i'm behind on my reading but i know you're not still pregnant anymore, lol.
i pretty much eat completely meatless and can't eat pasta, so i might have a zillion! we eat a lot of quinoa and rice, beans and veggies. made some black bean burgers recently and they were so good. tacos with black beans are a big hit. lentils are a great substitute for meat.
anyway! hope all is well :)
