cornflake dreams.: craving: steak.

craving: steak.

When my parents visited over Christmas they brought a cooler full of ground beef and giant steaks (...you know you grew up on a farm when). H and I usually don't eat a ton of red meat, so we're pretty excited to have a freezer full of premium meat. The ground beef is easy to cook with but the steaks are tricky -- we don't have a grill! Pinterest to the rescue -- I found some easy skillet recipes that incorporate steak into veggie-centered meals:

Are you a steak fan? How do you like to prepare it?

Hands down, the best steaks ever. And you can make them with anything, doesnt have to be filet. You just adjust the cooking time.

  7. Yum! I love a steak salad! In PA we put fries on our steak salads... you know, super healthy. I recommend popping some of the steak in your slow cooker too for philly cheese steaks, so good!

  9. We've made that same easy beef and broccoli (definitely recognize the photo haha) and it's seriously amazing, The sauce recipe makes a ton, so we actually used it for that and then saved all the extra sauce and marinated chicken for the next night with it.

  14. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE STEAK! My favorite way is just grilled on the grill. Or pan roasted on the stove and finished in the oven. but it has to be medium rare, I hate an over cooked steak.

  16. we don't eat red meat at home at all, though before that we only cooked steak at home twice - first time was a success and it was deeelish, the second time - not so good. so now we leave it to the professionals haha. but really, we just don't eat red meat at home.

  17. My husband is allergic to beef so I never make anything with beef at home. Except for when he grills me a beef burger. :-) Those dishes all look delicious though! I hope that you are enjoying your day too!

  25. You need to try Theo's way of cooking steaks. You sear them on the stove top then finish them off in the oven. The best steaks you'll ever have. The recipe is on my blog!

  30. It is so delicious! I love steaks! I recommend frying your steak. A heavy-duty, thick-based frying pan, ideally with a non-stick coating, will achieve good results, as will a heavy griddle pan or skillet.
