cornflake dreams.: winter reading list.

winter reading list.

It's been a few months since I have posted a reading list, (that's because I spent way too long reading Dragonfly in Amberthe second book in the Outlander series). I finally accepted that I would never finish it..ugh. fail. I picked up Big Little Lies last week, and it was soooo satisfying to start AND finish a book in a few days. I'm excited to read a few more books before Violet arrives next March. I have a feeling once she is here it'll be easier to commit to a TV series on Netflix rather than reading. Here's my list:
Yes Please by #girlcrush Amy Poehler, All Fall Down by Jennifer Weiner, and two baby books: The Sleepeasy Solution by Jennifer Waldburger and Jo Frost's Confident Baby Care (both recommended by friends).

What is on your winter reading list?

  1. I'm still reading the first book in the Outlander Series. It's so long and i have such a hard time finding time to read. I try to read a little bit everyday but I haven't done so in days. I so want to read Amy Pohler's book. It's on my list.

  10. I just got into Big Little Lies and it is indeed so nice to have something fun to breeze through - especially after a few WWII books lately. We've got a beach vacation in February that I'm saving up some more fun stuff like this for - Rainbow Rowell's Landline, some more Jojo Moyes. Jennifer Wiener is always good for the beach too.

Also: I got in quite a bit of reading when Hendrik was a newborn. With a Kindle, you can nurse and read at the same time! But I also got through a few series on Netflix... you spend a lot of time sitting in an armchair, so it's nice to have both on hand. I kind of miss both now that he's beyond that point - enjoy that relaxing part of it while you can :)

  11. Shockingly, I found that I am able to read on my kindle during nursing much more than I thought I would. I think the tricky part will be once they become mobile!

  18. What a good list. I (already - thanks, Cyber Monday!) bought Mike Yes, Please for Valentine's Day. I'm giving him a Jim Gaffigan book for Christmas, so I thought I'd spread the love. I've thought many times about just sneaking around reading it before he can ;)

  20. I want to read the Outlander series but I want to wait because I know it will be daunting... I've been reading .. not 'heavier' books, but lots of series and classics lately and I'm just not in the mood anymore, just want some light easy reads for a little while.
