cornflake dreams.: five on friday.

five on friday.

Happy Friday! I'm linking up with ChristinaAprilNatasha, and Darci today:
ONE: H surprised me on Wednesday night and took me to the Festival of Lights! We had a lot of fun walking around and taking photos of the Christmas decorations. It made me really excited for next year -- it'll be fun to celebrate the holidays with a baby. Locals -- the traffic during the week wasn't bad + bring a canned good for $5 off your admission.
TWO: Still looking for a great gift idea? Shutterfly has glass, metal, and ceramic Christmas ornaments that you can personalize with a photo! These would make a great gift for a new mama... I made one for my niece. I was so impressed with the quality, I made another one with Violet's sonogram photo. :) The ornaments range in price from $16 - $31.
THREE: This weekend I'm getting together with some Charleston bloggers for a cookie + white elephant gift exchange! I used to host a cookie exchange with my friends in Chicago, so I'm really happy to have a group of friends in Charleston to get together with for the holidays. I'm bringing Nerds + Peanut Butter Blossoms + Skyline Chili Dip!
FOUR: My parents are visiting next week!! I have a long list of things I want to see/do/eat with them and I'm praying it doesn't rain -- locals do you have any suggestions for indoor activities?
FIVE: There are a few days left to enter the Peanut Butter & Co. Giveaway (whoohoo who doesn't like free food?!)

Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. My husband and I vacation in Charleston at least once a year, sometimes twice! (I beg him to let us move there, it's my favorite place on earth!) We MUST meet when I'm down there sometime. I already know we are going to be down there in January and October of 2015!

  4. I love the Festival of Lights! We went to it many years ago after we just got engaged, so it holds a special place in my heart, and I get nostalgic when I see so many people post photos of their trip there every year. I also love the photo ornament with the bow! Did you add the bow or was it part of the ornament? I've made a few photo ornaments this year and I think such a pretty bow is needed!

  6. I need to make it down to the Festival of Lights - I can't believe Christmas is almost here. Everything needs to slow down! The aquarium could be a fun indoor activity. Outside of museums, I don't know if there are a ton of indoor things down here.
