craving: homemade banana bread.

At my first "real" job in Chicago I had a sweet co-worker who used to bring in a loaf of homemade chocolate chip banana bread every week. I ate my weight in banana bread and I haven't really craved it for a few years - until now. Sooo I took the lazy girl route and bought some mix and made muffins. They were decent, but now I'm determined to bake up something less processed and homemade. Here are a few from-scratch recipes I would love to try:
What is your favorite thing to mix in with banana bread?

  6. That pineapple banana bread sounds amazing! Banana bread is one of the only things my dad can make so we ate our weight in it growing up haha. It's finally starting to sound good again so I'm going to have to try some of these!

That is my favorite banana bread ever! I make it as muffins so I can make a big batch and freeze them. My husband and daughter are OBSESSED with them!

  9. Banana bread is such a nostalgic comfort food for me. So much that I actually worked on some low cal banana, Greek yogurt, bran muffins so I can have the taste without the guilt. I'll be sharing it next week if you're looking for something different.

  13. One of my favorite coworkers would make a loaf of banana bread every Monday with the bananas no one ate at the end of the week, and I've been craving it like crazy, too! I love Flours' recipe, with a touch of creme fraiche!

  21. I had such a craving for chocolate and banana when I was pregnant that I literally had to leave the house, go to the grocery store, and immediately return and make banana bread with chocolate chips mixed in.
