charleston, sc (restaurant) wish list.

I have quickly discovered that Charleston is a foodie city with lots of great restaurants. So to make the most out of our time here, I made a wish list of all of the places I'd like to visit within the next year. There's a few restaurants that appear on food critics "best of Charleston" lists, and other not-so-smancy places that were recommended by bloggers. I have already visited the restaurants crossed out below and I'll do my best to do post recaps for the remaining places :)

  1. This is such a great list!! I have one too, maybe we should start doing more meetups so we can eat our way around Charleston?! haha! I would add Poogan's Porch on there for a traditional southern meal. Ally and I take our husbands to EVO, you and your hubby will have to join us next time!

  5. We visited this Spring and had such an amazing time. Not on your list that is worth trying- Indaco. Really good italian (we had pizza!) and of course we fell in love with Husk as well. I wish I could eat there once a week! And we also loved bin 152 for wine and really good cheese!!

  6. Ok, that chicken biscuit looks to die for. I want it now! And if you can, check out Mellow Mushroom next Wed for lunch. It's their 40th anniversary so they're doing $2.50 small cheese pizzas and $0.75 beers. I'll definitely be at our Mellow for lunch that day! :)

  9. This is a great list! For downtown I would add Xiao Bao Biscuit and The Macintosh - two of my faves! It's more of a breakfast lunch place, but Mozzo in Mount Pleasant is awesome. We get breakfast sandwiches there almost every week.

  11. Mmm, now I REALLY want to get back to Charleston! We stayed in Folly Beach on our vacation a couple of years ago so mostly tried the little restaurants in that area, but we made reservations months in advance for Husk because I was so excited to try it. How fun you've been able to cross off several already... and the rest of that dessert list is really calling my name :)

  22. You should try Bohemian Bull out towards Folly Beach! We have a Mellow Mushroom in Lex that I love, and we tried the Tattooed Moose when I was down in Charleston in July--it wasn't my favorite, but my husband loved it!
