cornflake dreams.: building a bigger (and better) nail polish collection.

building a bigger (and better) nail polish collection.

this weekend i realized i don't have any nail polish that i love. i rarely paint my (finger) nails, because it takes me less than a day to chip them (thank you, desk job and endless typing). and although, i love how no-chip manicures look, they rip my nails apart and it's just not worth it. so that leaves the toes. i feel really weird when they aren't painted (which is probably strange) but i'd like to build a bigger (and better) nail polish collection, starting with darker hues (and a few sparkly picks for the holidays)::

ESSIE: essie smoking hot $8 -essie bold beautiful $8 - essie power clutch silver $8
BUTTER LONDON: butter london tart with a heart glitter $15 - butter london chancer $15 - butter london all hail the queen $15
OPI: OPI Incognito in sausalito $9 - OPI nein! nein! nein! OK fine! $9 - OPI lincoln park after dark $9

what's your favorite fall or holiday nail polish?

jillian

  1. What base & top coat do you use? I can easily get 4-5 days no chips and I type all day aha

I adore Butter London Tart With a Heart! Fiddlesticks is a really pretty colour from them too. I've got Sally Hansen Plum Luck & Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me on my nails at the moment. Other fall faves include: Essie Big Spender, Deborah Lippmann Stormy Weather, China Glaze Midnight Mission, and Nails Inc Porchester Square.

  3. You are fueling my bad, bad addiction to nail polish. I can't remember the last time (years?) my finger nails weren't painted. All of the Essie shades are my faves!

  4. Ooh I love all these colors! Lincoln Park After Dark is so great for the winter, I also really like Chinchilly by Essie--it's a gray-ish purple that's really pretty! I also recently purchased Essie's new fall color called For The Twill Of It and really like it, it's sort of a shimmery two-tone shade that's perfect for fall!

  5. I seriously love every polish you posted! all hail the queen is one of my all time favorites! I agree with Jane, Chinchilly is a gorgeous grey for fall/winter. Zoya Sarah is one of my favorite reds for the holidays-- definitely check it out, the formula and everything is amazing!

  6. Today I am wearing 'damsel in a dress' by essie but I totally fancy the look of 'tart with a heart glitter' by butter london. Love your picks, sweetie.

  8. Loving those Essie reds! I'm a fan of lipstick reds and oxbloods on my toes, but my fingernails rarely have more than a coat of clear–I just don't have the patience for the daily upkeep!

  10. Essie's my go to: chinchilly and mink muffs are such fabulous grey shades for fall and winter! Essie's brownie points is a new favorite of mine too because it looks brown and burgundy at the same time!
