this morning i woke up craving croissants. again. i ate a croissant every morning on our honeymoon (even while we were in prague!) i don't remember eating a lot of croissants when i studied in paris during college, so i am not sure what the recent obsession is but dannnng they are tasty! buttery, flakey - hard on the outside and soft and doughy in the middle. drool.
now for the important question -- where do i find a decent croissant in chicago?!
what are you craving?
xo,
jillian

They are the best things. So so delish and so excited that you are a Mrs.! :) Can't wait to hear more about the wedding and honeymoon!
Vanille Pâtisserie in the French Market has great croissants too. And macarons, of course!
Your hair looks great! Ohhhh when I came back from Italy I was bummed out no more breakfast sweet croissants! I still haven't found any good ones in the city!

Love your haircut! When we went to France last fall I became obsessed with croissants too! Try Floriole in Lincoln Park!
croissant with a hot caramel mocha for the morning is my favorite
I ate a croissant every morning when I lived in Madrid. There's something about them thats just so good and addicting.
I second Alex's recommendation of Floriole. They do wonderful croissants! Also, try La Fournette. It just opened by North and Wells and is run by one of my old chef instructors. He's a forth generation baker who closed up shop in France to come teach in Chicago.
It's hard to find them outside of France! I'm still looking for that delicious crusty baguette made here in the US since I left Paris.
And now I'm also craving croissants. So good! I can't even amazing how amazing they must be in France.
