when i was younger i always got excited to sign my name in the guest book at a wedding. i thought it was a fun way to be involved in the wedding and make sure the bride and groom knew i was there! now that i am planning my own wedding i have discovered lots of unique ways to welcome our guests and get them involved right away. i am smitten with these ideas::
my mom is a fantastic quilter so we're going to have quilt squares for our guests to sign as they arrive at our reception! i have no doubt it will be a keepsake that i will treasure for years.
how did you welcome your guests at your wedding?
with a traditional book for them to sign? or something a little more unique?

jillian

omg girl i love the "house" painting with everyone's finger prints being the balloons- my sister got my an "Our Adventure Book" just like in the movie UP because it one of me and my fiance's favorite movies ;) adorable!
I love the map idea because I think it's neat to see where everyone traveled from. We're using wooden oars as our guest book! :)
The quilt is a fantastic idea!
I wanted something that we could display, something that wouldn't just sit in a box under the bed to be looked at every once in a while. So, our guest book is a big flat slice of a tree, with wood burned monogram in the center! My husband and I both love the outdoors, and this will make for a really cool framed piece to have up in our house.
The quilt is such a great idea! We did a coffee table book of our engagement pictures. I love to read the love notes & well wishes that people left inside.
Xoxo, leigh
That is such a wonderful and thoughtful idea. You will definitely cherish that for years to come!
I love using the map and then framing it. All of these are so fun and creative!
Such a great idea! And, I really like that house with all of the balloons. Such a cute item that can be framed and treasured forever and ever.
Oh my goodness the quilt idea is perfect...and a great way to remember all who attended!
We ordered that one with all of the balloons - except a tree version with leaves! Same etsy shop though! We get it this week. Can't wait to see it in person!!!
Love the cute tree idea!! :)
Our wedding was at a winery so now I wish we had guests sign corks! What a cute idea! We had guests sign a frame that has our favorite wedding photo in it, so we get to see it every day.
My recommendation would be make sure your parents sign it- to this day neither set has b/c they were both busy at the wedding & now 3 years later we forget!
We ordered a personalized puzzle in the shape of a heart!! All our guests signed a piece and now we're going to frame it!
totally love that...such a great idea and an amazing keepsake!!! i have no idea what we are doing yet, but it will be something a little more unique than just a book :) XO brynn
I love all these original ideas- my favorites are ones that can be framed and saved to look at later!
Love love love the fingerprint tree :) Such a cute idea that I've never see before. Also loving the quilt and the wine corks!

what fun guestbook ideas! And I love that your mom is going to be making a quilt for you. What an amazing way to remember your wedding day!

I love the quilt idea too, and am thinking that if I ever get married I'll do that too! Enjoy your planning! When is your the wedding?
I absolutely love the idea of a guestbook quilt–it's going to be so beautiful!
oh these are SO cute!! we still haven't decided on the guest book, but i'm loving these creative ideas!
These are pretty cool ideas. Our guest book was a bit of a bust. We only had like 3 people sign it! So put it somewhere super obvious and don't let anyone else be in charge if it means a lot to you. Trust me!
LOVE these! way better than just a book...
since we had a destination wedding, i just bought a bunch of postcards when we got to jamaica and everyone signed their own postcard. i put colorful pens out and asked guests to write a piece of adive or wish. it was so much fun going through them and one day I WILL make them into a coffee table book.

Such great ideas! We had a music themed wedding so we bought a black guitar, and some silver & gold sharpies, for everyone to sign the guitar. I love that it's something we can display in our home, that I can look at everyday (: New follower of your blog!
