it's no secret that i have a thing for carbs (evident here and here). one of my favorite carbs are fluffy buttery, biscuits! i have great memories of sunday breakfast at my grandparent's house and my grandpa would always made me biscuits and gravy. it was always a special treat and i STILL crave the warm homemade sausage gravy and fluffy buttermilk biscuits...

oh wow!! all of these look MUCH better than my current breakfast of special k...hands down, my favorite breakfast comfort food is a belgian waffle topped with berries and lots of whipped cream!!
Oh my goodness, now I am really hungry! These look delicious. My favorite breakfast is strawberry crepes or an egg scramble. Yummy :)
I adore biscuits and gravy! This reminds me that I need to make it soon. I love all breakfast foods, but biscuits and gravy are in my top three.
I LOVE BISCUITS AND GRAVY! It's so funny that you're posting this now, because over the weekend I had one of those nights where I just couldn't sleep. In the morning I was all cranky and just blurted out "I want some biscuits and gravy." My husband reminded me that Hardees sells that and as soon as he said it I was practically out the door. I'm sure it wasn't as good as the stuff your grandparents made, but it was still awesome! It's funny because I didn't even discover biscuits and gravy until college, but now it is definitely my comfort breakfast food of choice.
Whew! Who knew I had so much to say about biscuits and gravy? haha
what's not to love about carbs?! love that your memory ties back to your grandparents :) i grew up with pancakes or french toast with powdered sugar - my grandma made these best! there were many weekends where my grandpa would take me to garage sales & then we would come home to a nice warm plate of french toast from my grandma! love that memory :) XO brynn

I love biscuits and gravy!! But I think my all-time fave breakfast comfort food is pancakes. Pancakes were our special treat breakfast growing up - something we usually only got on Saturday mornings at the most. I love them with a side of bacon and lots of maple syrup (and yes, I dip the bacon in the maple syrup too!).
