wedding wednesday - spring flowers.

my favorite thing about spring is the blooming flowers and reappearance of green grass. while my favorite flowers are lilacs, i also love lily of the valley. these precious little bell flowers have a wonderful sweet scent and are only in bloom in april and may. if i were getting married in spring time instead of summer i have no doubt these little flowers would make their way into my bouquet, (like kate middleton and grace kelly) or into our decor.

I definitely didn't think about flowers and their seasons when choosing my wedding date. But now, sadly, my two favorite flowers aren't available! Oh well!

lilacs are my favorite too! i'm definitely going to go seasonal when we're picking flowers for next year - i love the idea of little flowers tucked in the bun, so sweet!

I love lily of the valley and lilacs in spring, they are such sweet looking and smelling flowers. If I could get married again, I'd pick an early summer date so I could incorporate peonies!

Lily of the Valley is my mother's favorite flower so for a spring time wedding it would be fun to incorporate some into a bouquet in honor of her :)

I never would have thought of the flowers and seasons when it comes to a wedding date. Good things to keep in mind.

These images are all so classic and beautiful. I am a year-long white hydrangea girl! But my favorite Spring flower would be tulips! (not so much a wedding flower - but love it in our home!) Can't wait to see your choices for your wedding! I'm sure it will be beautiful!
