I plan on giving my bridesmaids a statement necklace to wear with their dresses and I plan to wear some pretty earrings like the first or second pair in your pic!

Really pretty choices! I love the look of statement jewelry. I am so boring, just going to wear a bracelet.

Given how much I love jewelry, it's going to be the best part of the wedding when I get married. Probably even more than the dress!

Although I have not gotten married yet, I think these choices would look fabulous on your big day! I especially love the first look. Divine!

You definitely sparkle on your big day. I wore pearl and diamond earrings and a diamond necklace given to me by my mom on my wedding day.

Jillian I think it all depends on the dress. If the gown has simple elegant lines, without a lot of beading etc, then a statement jewelry piece definitely!

Happy New Years and All the Best in 2012!

I love that middle pair of earrings, those are gorgeous!

On my wedding day I wore my grandmother's pearl earrings as my only jewelry. My wedding dress had an interesting neckline and I didn't want to distract from it with a necklace.

That necklace is gorgeous. :)

I absolutely adore statement pieces for wedding jewelry, but I don't think I could ever pull it off. My style is too simplistic. Oh well, I can always look.

I wore the sweetest little pearl drop earrings for my wedding {purchased from Etsy seller Penelli Belle}. My cathedral train and the sleeves of my dress made statement jewelry a little too much. But with a simpler dress, I LOVE big statement pieces for a wedding. Lovely!

I had planned to wear a pearl necklace that I didn't quite LOVE... but when my hubby-to-be gave me gorgeous pearl + diamond earrings for a wedding gift, I ditched the necklace and just wore the stunning earrings. They had a vintage feel that worked perfectly with my dress! I also wore one of my mom's thin gold bangles as my "something borrowed" (though she let me keep it afterwards and now I wear it all the time!).

i definitely think a statement piece just adds to the wedding fun and beauty. as long as it's not too overdone.

not sure if it is your style or not, but another MU grad who lives close to me is into statement beaded necklaces: http://www.jessicatheresa.com

I did a four stranded antique pearl necklace with a strapless justina mccaffrey.. but that was "way back" in 2006 :)

I'm thinking I'm going to wear a mid-weight statement necklace because I have a strapless dress with not too much detailing but enough. I think it can use something.

What gorgeous pieces-the first earrings just took my breath away! You're going to make such a gorgeous bride, I just can't wait!

I didn't wear any statement peices, but i did wear a special necklace and ring that has been passed down in my family. The jewelry was delicate enough as to not compete with my dress but still special in it's own way.

Those earrings are gorgeous! I kept my jewelery pretty simple with a simple necklace and pearl earrings that my then fiance gave me. My statement piece was a sparkly hair pin.

I'm all over statement jewelry for your wedding!! The one day in your life where you can go all out on jewels if you want!!

I LOVE statement pieces - especially on brides. I wore statement earrings that were a one-off piece made from re-set Austrian crystal. See here if you want to have a looksie:

I just love colour to break up such a full and big dress.

All eyes are on you, so you may as well entertain with sparkle!
