inspired design - life magazine covers.

i have a whole pinterest board full of ideas for our future home
but this photo has me dreaming of long-forgotten photography:

a blown up vintage life magazine cover = instant art with some history thrown in- what a fun idea! i searched the life magazine archive for a couple of interesting covers and these are my favorites::
[i'd love to put either of these covers in our living room]
[art for your dressing room or walk in closet]
[perfect for a nursery or child's bedroom]

  9. I totally agree with you! Life magazine covers make the best artwork! I scored huge at an antigue store - I picked up a book full of the most famous Live covers and when I got home I found that there were 15 prints inside that you could pull out and frame!

  10. I love this idea. It makes me think of my friend who has this massive WWII poster on her wall. I asked her where she got it and she said she found it in her grandma's attic. I was so blown away! I wish more people kept awesome things like that. I love all things vintage and LIFE captures every time period so well.

  13. I've always loved the idea of having Life magazines as artwork in my home. My aunt even sent me her collection to use from Chicago, but it's still sitting at my parents' house right now. Maybe when we move in May, I will find the motivation to get them framed and put them up!

Hope you have a fabulous day my dear.

  27. Those are really cool! My grandfather converted an old barn on his property into his office (2-story, loft style) -- He covered the walls in old flight posters from American Airlines...it was so neat! I snagged the Paris one, but it's so big I don't really have anywhere to hang it! :)
