the bang game.

oy! my bangs are driving me crazy... i adore them but bangs are a HUGE commitment and i am not a high maintenance-go to the salon every other week sort of girl. i have resorted to trimming them myself *trust me it doesnt always end well. it was such a big deal to finally get bangs in the first place but now i am not sure how much longer i can keep them. if i decide to go with a lower maintenance swoooop bang I'm sure I'll chop them off again later this year for the wedding...

i have an appointment tonight with my favorite stylist at sine qua non salon in west town... we'll see what  happens!

I love bangs (the first picture is lovely) but they look so terrible on me!

Looking forward to seeing what you end up with. I have the swoop bangs right now and they can get annoying real fast when they get to the length where they hang over your eyes.

Can't wait to see what you end up getting! xx

I like your bangs :(

Seriously, such a commitment. I just cut my bangs about 2 weeks ago, and they're already too long.
I'm not sure how many more times I can actually trust myself with scissors!

Love, love the look of bangs!

swoop bangs are easier to grow out! every few years I decide to get bangs, its fun for about 2 weeks and then they annoy me. yours look much better than mine! !

I like the look of the swoop bangs in the last pictures. I don't think I could ever have bangs with my curly hair. It would be way way too much work.

I love the look of a great bang, but I agree...they're a lot of work! Good luck with your appointment tonight!

I've been growing out my bangs since summer and I just chopped them again. Not super short, but more like a "swoop" - it takes forever to grow them out! I felt like an angsty teenager I tell ya! Now I like them shorter again. I can never make up my mind!

I love having side swoop bangs. It's a pretty flexible look as they grow out so I typically go in for a trim once a month.

This is exactly why I always chicken out when going to the salon. I just don't think I could keep it looking good. Best of luck!

I cannot get enough of the side swoop! Man, now I really really want bangs again. Adorable!

I just got bangs and cannot style them for the life of me! AKA they will be gone soon! But they look ADORABLE on you!

Yeah...I totally understand what you're going through. I decided to grow mine out. It's an annoying process but I feel better about it all!

I love the heavy sideswept bangs. I don't think I have enough patience in the morning to deal with bangs so I've never taken the plunge myself

I just blogged about bangs yesterday! I seriously loved when I had mine but they are a huge ordeal sometimes.
I have been considering chopping them again, though.
Cant wait to see what you did!

i love bangs but my hair is not for having them... ouch!

I have side swept bangs that need to be cut, but it takes about 4-5 weeks for them to get to that point. They'd be easy to grow out, too!

i have an amazing stylist that gave me a cut in between half moon and swoop, i can wear them both ways and it helps so much then they start to grow out!

I love your bangs, but totally understand! I had bangs for the majority of last year, but towards the end had to opt for the swoop...SO much easier to maintain! Good luck :) XO brynn

Oh, I definitely know what you mean. I don't know how many times I've gotten bangs, and just got tired of them the next week and wore a headband until they've grown out.

But they are just so cute! And they look adorable on you! I'm sure your stylist will do amazing things though :)

I have been trying to decide if I want to get bangs or not. I even bought a faux pair from Sally's, but still don't know if i`ll get them or not. xo

ooh what did you go with?? i guess i'll see tomorrow!! i love bangs, but they don't look great on me.

I spent my entire life, to age 18, in bangs because I thought my forehead was too big. Now I've been without bangs for like 7 years. I prefer it this way, however, I ADORE side-swept bangs. I just can't master them! Good luck!

I'm exactly the same... currently growing mine out for a slightly more side-swept (read: low maintenance) look.
