merry christmas chickadees - i hope you had a wonderful weekend! i know i did :) h and i spent christmas-eve-eve (friday) with his family and we enjoyed pizza, christmas vacation and the corsi!
h's dad has been telling us about his new corsi (a table with a built in heater) for a few weeks but i didn't really know what to expect. he raved about the table and explained how he ordered the heater from japan and put the whole thing together himself. traditionally corsi table's use a small charcoal fire under the table with fire proof blankets surrounding for a family to cuddle together. the modern version uses an electric heater and lots of blankets. it was ahhhhmazing.. like a comfy bed in the living room!! if you ever have the chance to try one of these DO IT.
saturday we headed out to the burbs to visit my family and meet her new corgi!! i literally freaked out when i met dougie.. he is THE CUTEST little pup and SO much smaller than i thought he would be. I was v tempted to dog-nap but then i started thinking about all the work it is to have a dog in the city (not to mention my mom would be heartbroken if i took her pup!) we spent the rest of the weekend with my brothers and my extended family (lots of kids + cookies + craziness).
on sunday night we came back to the city and it felt good to be home and unpack our goodies. overall it was a great holiday and i am ready for 2012!!

Man, I would love a corsi in my living room. It looks so cozy! And the dog is adorable, but I agree having a dog in the city seems like a major pain in the ass. I've told my husband he can have a dog when we get a yard, which might be never since we intend to attempt to raise a family in the city.
