wedding wednesday-registry essentials for the kitchen.

tis the season for baking and cooking up large feasts! after my pinterest potluck and friends-thanksgiving i realized there are a few kitchen essentials i need to add to our wedding registry.

first on my list is a kitchen aid mixer! with so many colors and options i was a little overwhelmed at first (my first color choice was mint) i decided it might be smarter to go with a color that i wont get sick of after a few years = gray. classic, chic, and it wont clash with my stainless steel appliances.

it's not everyday that i entertain a large group of guests but when i do i would like to have some proper serving pieces (a serving tray, cake knife/server, large spoons...) i love really love all of the simple designs at crate and barrel.

and then there are a few other fun things: copper pepper mill, sandwich pressmint mixing bowls

what are your kitchen essentials?

xo,
jillian

Mine were the same! Classic white serving dishes and white plates. I didn't get a mixer, but one day i will - i love the gray!

Oh yes! These are definitely important. Peppermills are dang expensive so getting them as a gift is so important.

I can't wait to register for a kitchen aid mixer! I think it's so cool that they come in so many colors, but you made a smart choice with grey!

I didn't put a Kitchen Aide on my registry, but I so wish I did...though Husband has told me he'll get me one for Christmas :)

I really wanted a bamboo cutting board (got it and love it!) and an espresso machine (got it and only use it sometimes...). Good list though :)

I'm experimenting with a link up for Wedding Wednesday on the blog. Not sure if anyone will actually link up, since I didn't advertise it or anything, but I figured I would put it up since so many people actually do Wedding Wednesday posts. Feel free to stop by and link up if you'd like.

Happy Turkey day tomorrow my dear :)

xoxo,
Joelle

Ahh those KitchenAid mixers come in such adorable colors but you're so right-- gray is much more practical and tougher to get sick of! The one kitchen tool I'm wishing for this year? A BabyCakes cupcake/cake pop/mini pie maker :)

Good, sturdy mixing bowls and good sturdy pots and pans. I put all-clad on my registry and they are amazing. Expensive...but amazing! :)

The sandwich press is making its way to my Christmas list. I'd love a Kitchen-Aid mixer too. The mint/ice blue is my favorite and I'd probably stick to my guns on that color! :-) Although, the creamy white is pretty too.

yes yes yes to the KitchenAid mixer. One of my most favorite things I got. I remember being worried I would have to suck it up and start mixing things by hand:-) haha! don't judge my laziness! xoxo

We have that exact same mixer! We love the color because it goes with everything, but 1 warning: since its a matte finish, flour gets stuck to it a lot and it requires more maintenance then the smooth kind. But it's awesome!

My mother bought my husband and I a stainless steal colored Kitchenaid Mixer as one of our wedding gifts and I LOVE it! For entertaining purposes, Wilton Armetale makes some very cute and cook/serve friendly pieces! You can get W.A. at Macy's or Belk. We also registered for the Lenox Butler's Pantry serveware/dinnerware at Macy's and Pottery Barn's Antique Silver Flatware.

Having a kitchenaid mixer is a must! Although, to be honest, I use my handheld mixer more often. It's so versatile!

A Kitchenaid mixer is HIGH on my list. I'm happy to have received one for my bridal shower a couple of weeks ago. I got it in Ice, but that gray is also lovely. :)
