when h and i got engaged in march we immediately discussed the honeymoon. we decided Paris + Amsterdam would be the perfect pair for our 10-day adventure. i spent a month in Paris back in college but i have been dying to go back ever since my study abroad visit ended. we bought our plane tickets to Paris a few months ago and then got distracted by "life" things...(a job change, condo and a trip to Spain). last week we started talking about our honeymoon again and researching our destination cities and hotels. after some research, Amsterdam's just didn't feel right. sure it looks like an awesome city and a somewhere to visit before we have kids... but not for our honeymoon. after some discussion and lots of wicki-travel page searches we discovered Prague! Paris + Prague --so different but both seem sooo dreamy. the perfect destinations for our honeymoon! now that we have the cities picked we are faced with the (exciting) task of plotting out our to-do's/to-see's. there are places i absolutely want to revisit while we're in paris (musee d'orsay, centre pompidou, versailles!) but i know there are other gorgeous sites and tasty restaurants we need to add to our travel plans. Praugue will be a brand-new adventure for both of us.

Prague is amazing (although so is Amsterdam)! One of the loveliest cities I've ever been to!

Your honeymoon will be great!!! I'd recommend making time to just sit and read in the park in Paris. I'd highly recommend Bike About Tours in Paris. Definitely keep Amsterdam on your list though. Out of all of the places I've been in Europe (London, France, Germany, Austria, Amsterdam), it is for sure my favorite.
Love both of those cities! I lived in Paris for 4 months in College, and have gone back every year since. I'm going again in February and these pictures are getting me so excited!! have a blast!

I've been to both! Paris, as you know is WONDERFUL. I've been to Amsterdam three times and I'vve never liked it, so good choice on opting out of there. Prague is beautiful. It was a bit crowded when I went there but it's insanely cheap and a very quaint Eastern European city! You'll have a blast!
I've been to both. Loved both. I have a special spot in my heart for Paris. But that's just me. Prague is amazing because of the history and those buildings. Incredible.

Prague is on my list! i've been to Paris 2 times but it was so long ago... i recommend of course going to the top of the Eiffel and the Musee d'orsay is my most fave museum in the world! :)

I have been to both! In Paris, you simply cannot miss Versailles or the Musee d'Orsay - both are just as romantic and beautiful as you can imagine. In Prague - there's no where quite like the castle, but I would also recommend a stop at the McDonald's in the Old Town. With checkered tablecloths and flowers on each table, it is surely the most adorable McDonald's on the planet!

Oh my goodness you two are going to have SUCH an incredible time. Prague is next on my list of places to visit- I hear the most amazing things about it. If you've spent a month in Paris I'm sure you know much more than me, having only spent a couple weekends there, but a favorite of mine is always Laduree :) And have lunch there too, not just macarons!

This sounds like a fantastic trip! My hubby and I went to Paris and London for our Honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely go to the Louvre when in Paris, and any wine bar is also fun!
