as you know my little brother got engaged over the weekend, he called me yesterday with more happy news!
he wants me and my older brother andy to be in the wedding.
the bride will have her sister and brother in the wedding party too. fun right?!

this saturday one of my best friends is getting married and i am ecstatic to be apart of the wedding party, i get to wear a pretty purple gown and greek dance the night away :)
with all this bridesmaid buzz i thought it was about time that i reveal a few details about my wedding party and what they will be wearing next july...
what do you think- do you like mismatched bridesmaid gowns? or do you miss the traditional matching look?!

I LOVE that idea...it gives everyone a chance to pick what they like...and in turn be more comfortable & happy...which in turn leads to everyone having a great time! Smart move! P.S. We are SO doing that bike tour in Barcelona...THANKS for the heads up...

I've ALWAYS said that when I get married my bridesmaids will have dresses in different styles (although probably the same color). What looks good on one person can look awful on another! Plus, like you said, I want them to show off their personalities. I LOVE your selections and the color scheme! And congrats to your brother!
I had such a hard time picking out bridesmaid dresses! My ladies are wearing Amsale chiffon gowns and they can make them strapless, with spaghetti straps, or halter depending on what they want! The J.Crew collection is beautiful!

Picking out bridesmaid's dresses is so fun! I chose matching gowns for my 4 girls, but I really do love the look of mixed dresses! So exciting that you chose from the J.Crew collection -- I LOVE their looks!
I love mismatched bridesmaid dresses. I went the J Crew route too, with black silk tricotine (my maid of honor wore a deep wine red) and let the ladies pick their fave, everyone was in a different dress that they felt great in, and I love how it looked in photos.

I love the mismatched bridesmaids dresses! I think it gives a wedding personality and lets the bridesmaids get a dress that they might actually wear again.

Oh I love the JCrew chiffon pretties...just gorgeous and I really like the idea of everyone getting to pick their favourite.
aw that's so exciting!! I love the mismatched dresses. My bridesmaids all matched but that was because I had some drama mamas who were kind of jerks. I first gave them the option but they were all kind of mean to each other and weren't coordinating well so finally I just picked a very simple dress and everyone was happy :)
I love this idea - I think it's great when not every bridesmaids looks exactly the same! My sister did the two colors for her bridesmaids dresses and it turned out beautifully!

I think it's great that J Crew offers these dresses at a great price and at a style that you'll likely wear again. So many bridesmaids dresses are expensive, not that cute, and really end up in a donation pile after the event. These are staples you'll love. Great post!

I think it depends on the wedding, but I love the idea of having different dresses and colors! I am having my girls in the same dress/color, but definitely considered the other way :)

I love J Crew bridal! I wore bridal myself- erica and my bridesmaids wore cotton cady green last summer!

i think i may go mismatched for W2..in the same material/length. I kinda like that the bridesmaids can get something that fits them and their figure best.
