this weekend my plans got a little mixed up.. so i took the time to relax, sleep-in and watch a few silly movies. one of the films i watched was the big chill. it's one of those movies i've always wanted to see but never did. it was entertaining to see the 80's fashion and haircuts (hello, kevin klien in super short running shorts!) the retro running sneakers were pretty sweet though and wouldn't mind a pair. i liked the story --a group of college friends reunite for a weekend at a large southern house after a funeral of a friend. and i loved the soundtrack- it's filled with dance in your seat motown classics.
have you watched any old films lately that you've liked and would recommend?
xo,
jillian

I've been jonesing for a pair of retro sneaks lately, too. Asics or Nikes? Can't decide...

I have never seen the big chill but it sounds great!
Love the sandwich king!! His recipes look amazing and he is hysterical!
I love old films! I haven't seen one in a while, but felt like the movie Paris at Midnight took me back to the older days. Loved it!
I am a huge movie fan! I've never seen The Big Chill though; I'll have to check it out.
Recently, I've watched Funny Face. It's one of my favorites. I also watched Legally Blonde, and I forgot how much I love it's cheesiness.
ive never even heard of this. i think i definitely need to add this to my netflix!
I've never seen that movie, but should put it on our list! We watched "So I Married an Axe Murderer" with Mike Meyers over the weekend...SO random!
Is it weird that I have never seen this movie? Or heard of it? I promise I am an educated woman!!!
I love old movies though. Aspiring Kennedy had Only You on her blog last week and I about laughed my pants off.
I love the movie, especially the soundtrack that a few others mentioned above.
Favorite old movies are Beaches, Grease and the Breakfast Club.
Sandwich King, Yesssssssssss! :)
Oh fun, I'll have to check it out. We just watched The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I read the book and the movie was good, but intense...some parts were definitely hard to watch.
I have heard great things about this movie, but I never seen it. I think it's time to add it to the netflix queue.
Your weekend seemed so relaxing and wonderful!! I love just hanging out and watching movies. I can do that all day. :)
I don't think I've ever seen that movie, but will check it out. :)

I've never seen this either, but now it's on my list! John and I just enjoyed a mid-90s favorite, the Birdcage this weekend!
OH I love this movie! It was filmed in my hometown. The soundtrack is wonderful. A couple of years ago, the house was put on the market and I am pretty sure it went for a couple million dollars.
I love that soundtrack! It always put me in a good mood!
Great movie pick! And yes! The soundtrack is fantastic!!! Sounds like such a relaxing weekend...I finally get one of those this weekend!!! Oh! And I recently watched Back to the Future...can't go wrong :) xoxoxo brynn
