the big chill.

this weekend my plans got a little mixed up.. so i took the time to relax, sleep-in and watch a few silly movies. one of the films i watched was the big chill. it's one of those movies i've always wanted to see but never did. it was entertaining to see the 80's fashion and haircuts (hello, kevin klien in super short running shorts!) the retro running sneakers were pretty sweet though and wouldn't mind a pair. i liked the story --a group of college friends reunite for a weekend at a large southern house after a funeral of a friend. and i loved the soundtrack- it's filled with dance in your seat motown classics.

have you watched any old films lately that you've liked and would recommend?

xo,
jillian

ps spoiler alert--i am SUPER excited about the next food network star! i cannot wait to watch the sandwich king!!!

I love old films! I haven't seen one in a while, but felt like the movie Paris at Midnight took me back to the older days. Loved it!

I am a huge movie fan! I've never seen The Big Chill though; I'll have to check it out.

Recently, I've watched Funny Face. It's one of my favorites. I also watched Legally Blonde, and I forgot how much I love it's cheesiness.

Is it weird that I have never seen this movie? Or heard of it? I promise I am an educated woman!!!

I love old movies though. Aspiring Kennedy had Only You on her blog last week and I about laughed my pants off.

Oh fun, I'll have to check it out. We just watched The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I read the book and the movie was good, but intense...some parts were definitely hard to watch.

I've never seen this either, but now it's on my list! John and I just enjoyed a mid-90s favorite, the Birdcage this weekend!

OH I love this movie! It was filmed in my hometown. The soundtrack is wonderful. A couple of years ago, the house was put on the market and I am pretty sure it went for a couple million dollars.
