an afternoon in andersonville.

this weekend after h's brother left town we spent our entire saturday in andersonville. the swedish neighborhood is located north of downtown chicago and is full of great interior design shops, restaurants and beautiful bungleo homes. h and i spent all day checking out shops and taking photos...

gethsemane garden center - 5739 N clark street
vintage and interior design shops:: roost chicago,  scout,  the white attic, brimfield
my favorite thing to do when i am in a new neighborhood is find a bakery or sweet shop-- we went to george's ice cream & sweets for some ahhmazing peanut butter and chocolate ice cream. h prefers his beer so afterwards we stopped at hopleaf for a quick drink.

what is your favorite thing to do when you visit a new neighborhood or city?

xo,
jillian

psst... to see more photos check out my andersonville photo album on Facebook!

Going to a bakery or sweet shop each time you're in a neighborhood sounds so fun! When we're traveling to new cities or towns, I like to find a local place to visit - a coffee shop or bakery or something.
