good things.

i had a pretty fantastic weekend full of lots of good things::
morning bike rides
tasty sandwiches from a neighborhood deli (who knew roast beef & provolone could be sooo good?!)
a depressing movie (blue valentine) that make you appreciate your (happy) relationship
saturday morning library date
a bang trim (i should always leave those to professionals)
a cookout and skinny margaritas
booking the dj for the wedding
reruns of chopped on the food channel
an afternoon nap
pink & white frosted animal cookies (so addictive)
sunday dinner at jerry's (i got the southern fried chicken sandwich. holy.moly.delicious)

how was your weekend? what things are making you happy lately?
xo,
jillian

Jerry's is a dream! The menu is so big and half of the time I can't decide what I want!! I love the sides they offer, too! I'm on the hunt for a hair stylist here in Chicago...would you recommend yours?

Well, my lil munchkins have been on vacay with my parents for a week, so the H and I have been trying to reconnect :) Saturday morning I had a lovely drive down Sunset Blvd to (almost) PCH where I worked the entire day at the beautiful Getty Villa. H took me out to dessert so I could fulfill my cannoli craving and then we cracked up all night watching Bridesmaids. Sunday morning we got an early start at my FAVE local bakery, The Poached Pair, with scones and coffee...yum! Followed by a quick, but productive run to IKEA...so I can finish organizing the kids playroom before they get home...can't wait!!! :)
