friday's fancies #25.

happy friday! this week has flown by and it has been filled with lots of excitement. my best friend found her wedding dress--it's gorgeous! i launched my graphic design website and we booked our trip to turkey... i couldn't be happier!

on sunday we are visiting the farmers market and on saturday we're going to a friend's 30th birthday bbq. her party is a "throw-back" theme...so you are suppose to wear clothes you would wear in college. i have been out of college for 4 years and i still have some clothes i wore in college in my closet (whoops!) which makes me wonder...
are shorts, heels, and a tank still okay to wear out!?
tank $52, shorts $330, pumps $228, bag $298, cornhole boards, red cups

has your style changed since college? how often do you clean out your closet?
have a great weekend!

jillian

seeing as how i am still in college i hope things i wear are acceptable haha. but when i was in undergrad until now in my mba program, yes i have definitely seen a change. i used to never leave home without my hair up and sneaker or flip flops. now there is more thought process to my outfits...at least i hope so!

cute throw back outfit and hope you have fun!

ha, I am the same as you. I still wear the same clothes as in college, which was 5 years ago!

I just don't have the budget to totally replace my wardrobe. and, if it's still in style and doensn't look worn out, why not keep it?

I have a ton of clothes I used to wear in uni. But I really love the outfit you chose. It's so pretty.

I get rid of things slowly in my wardrobe. x

Ha! I still have a few things from high school, so college clothes are totally acceptable in my book : )

And that's great that you booked your Turkey trip. It's an incredible place!

I'm seven years out and think other than a hoodie or two, I don't have anything from college. Love the outfit you've picked for the bbq, especially the petal top!

Wow has my style changed since college.... I think its even changed the last year or so since I got my first corporate job out of college. Gotta make those work clothes and at home clothes work better together so it's made my style more classic and put together even when heading to target! Great purse by the way!

I clean my closet out one in a blue moon and when I do it is EPIC. I mean, shoes, hats, expensive dresses all go out the door. I love it!

I actually have been thinking lately of how I need to get rid of many things in my closest that i've had since the college years. Sad, but true.

If you are still wearing clothes from college, that just means you bought smart to begin with!

Cute top! My style has definitely changed...for the better!!! It's funny...as you get older I think you develop a style that is more true to you...in college I think we're all so concerned about what everyone else is wearing. Just one more fantastic thing about getting older! Have a fantastic weekend!!! xoxoxo brynn

This definitely screams college! Although for me, if i were to wear what I wore in college, it would be some beat up converse and a t-shirt. I was that girl :)

Have a great weekend!

Before college, my best friend and I made a pact never to wear pajamas to class. I wore high heels most days of the week. Crazy, right? These days I'm far more casual...

What an exciting week-horray! As for how frequently I clean my closet, I will admit to a pair or two of middle school jeans in my closet...not to mention childhood baseball tees-I don't know if it's scarier that I still have them, or that they fit!

Emily Marie said...

Haha - omg - this outfit is EXACTLY what I would have worn in college! I sported the shorts and heels a lot. I'd say my style has become a little more conservative since being out of college, but I am like you - I still have a lot of clothes in my closet from the college years! Have a great weekend :)

Kariyah said...

I love the look of shorts with heels, however racy it might seem. Done well, I think it can be very sexy, or even classy:)

sister, if that's what you were wearing in college you were 1000% more stylish than me!!! that outfit is chic and svelte. love it. and for what it's worth, my first two years of college were made up of a lot of backless shirts. i am cringing as i type this.

Kalina said...

Is it bad that I am in college right now and would totally wear this out? lol I love this :)

Congrats on launching your website and I am so jealous of that trip to Turkey!

You've been busy! That outfit is cute! I still wear a few things from college, but I think my style has approved since then...at least I hope. :)
