sweet lilacs.

growing up we had a lilac bush in our front yard. i have fond memories of the fresh picked flowers in our kitchen in spring. now every time i smell lilacs i think of home :)

  3. The smell of weedkiller makes me think of spring. I know it sounds gross but when I walked outside after a long day at work and smelled the weedkiller in February, I knew spring was on its way!

  21. My elementary school has a honeysuckle bush and I feel the same way every time I smell it. Nostalgic and old. I love lilac. I am actually on the hunt for the perfect lilac nail polish.

  27. I have always loved lilacs! the smell is so incredible. They are so distinctly a May flower that every time they come into bloom it just starts to feel like summer.

  31. Dirt after rain reminds me of my childhood in Louisiana every time. Isn't that funny? I thought it was really cute that someone up top said "weed killer". They say that smell is our strongest sense!
