portlandia.
this thursday h and i are leaving for a mini-vaca to portland, oregon! i have never visited the city but i am super excited to check out the gardens, food carts, micro-breweries and markets. i was lucky enough to get a few tips from holly (little miss holls) who i am meeting up with for drinks and becky (shopping is my cardio). with their suggestions and a little google research we have a pretty packed 3-day itinerary.

My husband and I are planning a 3 day trip for our anniversary this year. Your post has me thinking that maybe Portland will be our destination! I hope to hear how you liked it!

May I recommend a few places to eat? My favorites are: Clyde Common, Delta Cafe, Portland Soup Company (that's actually a food cart by PSU), and Mothers.

I've been to Portland once...for about half a day. I went on a biking trip down the Oregon Coast and we started in Portland. My one word of advice on things to do...if you like to read - you MUST got to Powell's Bookstore. It is a reader's heaven!!!

Portland is pretty amazing, I might be a little biased since I live there, but it's true:-) Hawthorne is fun to explore, 23rd St. for shopping too. Definitely check out some coffee places if you're into that sort of thing. Stumptown/Barista/etc. Amazing! Have fun:-) xoxo

i'm from l.a. and i now i live in portland! it's a great city. portland city grill will give you the best view of the city, it's on the 30th floor. night view is great if it's not raining. nw 23rd, hawthorne street, alberta district are good neighborhoods to visit. have fun lady!
I've never been to Portland, but if it's anything like Seattle you'll fit right in with the plaid and the wellies. Have fun - eat lots of great, fresh food! (My favorite part of the Northwest)
