the first time i heard about king cake was in high school french class. after a few bites i was shocked to find a plastic bebe doll in my pastry. who bakes a cake with toys inside?! i didn't realize that finding the bebe meant i was responsible for buying next years cake... good thing it was senior french class ;)
i hope you all have a fantastic night and celebrate mardi gras with a sweet treat! i will most likely be having a girl scout cookie or two. or four. what about you? what's your favorite sweet treat?

I went to NOLA a few years ago & had a blast! I don't think I could handle going there for Mardi Gras... it was too crazy on just a normal weekend for me!

I've never been down there...Mardi Gras was fun to celebrate when I was in high school/college but even then I didn't really celebrate. So I guess I'll celebrate tonight with some ice cream or something? Who knows!

So funny...my first memory of a King Cake too was in a French class too. I believe it was sometime in Middle School. I wasn't lucky enough to find the Bebe though ;)
I think I'll be enjoying a few thin mints tonight as well. Girl Scout cookies are THE best.
