whoa my baby brother was on NPR! (h was a bit jealous... he's an NPR fanatic). and how cute is that little boy?? nick called on christmas eve--i was thrilled to talk to him and hear his voice (it had been months). he should be returning home this summer...i am counting down the days.

  1. Wow. What a great picture, and the fact that it's your brother makes it really sentimental. Framable? I think so.. but maybe that's just my inner 'Momma' coming out :)

    I know the military / government get a bad rap for all that's happening in the world, but there are some really courageous men and women out there putting their lives on the line for others. I appreciate what people like your brother are doing for both our country and other countries.

  6. That's amazing! It must be a thrill to see a photo of him - and I'm glad you were able to chat with him for awhile. Last year, my brother was stationed in South Korea. Fortunately he's in Texas now, but after that,he's heading to Iraq. Sigh. It's going to be weird to have him out of the U.S. again.

  8. @jessica--i'll pray for your brother too! i dont think ill ever get used to nick being deployed but he is going to make a career out of the army so i just need to support him and think positively.
