the bees knees.

if you follow me on twitter you would know that i received a package on thursday at work from my grandma. she knows i have a little thing for bees::

my itty bitty bee collection includes: a bee charm necklace (urban outfitters), vintage magazine cover & tea towel (flea market find), and wooden matches (gift)
i was super excited to open my package and find this adorable tea set!
do you have something special you collect? we also have a few elephant pieces (book-ends, and the ceramic planter pictured above).

Dying over the honeycomb tea set! I collect aprons. If I had more storage space I would collect cakestands and milk glass too!

How sweet of your grandma! My grandma used to send me letters and gift packages all the time when she was still alive. I miss those so much.

So adorable! I have a bee necklace that I love. My mom bought it for me years ago after I was stung and realized I was incredibly allergic.

I'm a big elephant collector (I inherited this hobby from my mom) so I can definitely relate. What a sweet grandma. :)

This is adorable! I don't collect anything anymore :/ I used to love pandas when I was in middle school, though. I have a GIANT sized stuffed panda just sitting in my room, hahaha!

Stop by soon!

Lovethe tea set!
My nickname fr a newborn has been Bird, since my hair looked like a mohawk, ala Woodstock, the yellow bird fr Charlie Brown. However, my Grandmother thinks it's Tweety Bird & always gives me TB collectibles. Hmph

@elle sees-- too funny-- my dad used to call me bird, but that was because i was picky with my food :)

Hi from Mingle Monday. Those bees sure are cute. I don't officially collect anything, but unofficially I guess I collect lamps. Yes, I'm a bit of a lamp tramp. Like jewelry for the home...Lovely little blog you've got here, too.

can your grandmother adopt me?!? she knows how to take care of you! love the bees--they're annoying in real life, but when they're captured like this, they're perfect. I find myself loving maps. And anything vintage DC. weird collections. yikes.

hope you're bracing for that storm ;) xoxo {av}
